Mission of the Gniezno Conventions

The renewed Gniezno Conventions are in the early 21st century a major venue of encounters of Christians from Central and Eastern Europe, who express their responsibility for the future of the Church, the homeland and our common continent during debates, workshops, prayers, and art events.
The Conventions are held in Gniezno, the cradle of Polish Catholicism and Poland’s first capital. They are broadly ecumenical and interfaith in nature. We likewise extend an invitation to non-believers; in Gniezno we want to enter into a dialogue with them in the name of the common good of the entire society. In this way we wish to build a culture of encounter to which Pope Francis urges us.
